South Knox Facility Assessments: Puzzle Pieces

The core group divided into two groups around tables. Each group was given black foam core board and a packet of “puzzle pieces”. The “puzzle pieces” were components of the elementary school and middle/high school based on the space needs program that Schmidt Associates had developed based on the student enrollment and current program offerings. Each groups was then asked to organize the components in a way that best demonstrates how the facility should ideally be organized. The core group explored the different ways the spaces in both the Elementary School and Middle High School can be arranged. Based on this input, adjacencies and design options for future work were explored.
